Mt. Bethel posted a commanding victory over The Walker School on Saturday. Great serving was the name of the game, as Julia Acker, Sophie Brubaker and Eva Petiot each racked up a number of points to get the team to a 14-4 lead. The Eagles started to falter, but Sam Karel had a big hit to stop the bleeding at 17-7 and the team cruised to victory from there.
In the second set, Sophie and Eva got the serving bonanza started with 5 and 4 points respectively. Shelby Harris put up some big hits, and Anna Mullis extended the lead to 16-6 with more great serves. Shelby stepped up to the line and took the Eagles to a 20-10 lead, which allowed the team to closed the set out easily.
