Ryan Burke – Varsity Volleyball

With coaching experience on the collegiate and club level, Ryan Burke brings her wealth of knowledge to the MBCA Eagles volleyball program for the 2019-2020 season.

Burke played collegiately at Dalton State and Reinhardt University. At Reinhardt, Burke was a senior captain and earned Academic Excellence Awards. In 2017, Burke helped lead Reinhardt to a 29-7 overall record and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament. After graduation, Burke served one year as the head JV volleyball coach at Reinhardt. She has also coached with the Phoenix Rising Volleyball Club for the past six years.

A native of West Allis, Wisconsin, Burke went to Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, where she played volleyball and basketball. In high school, Burke was twice named All-Region, twice named All-Area, won three MVP awards, and holds the Apalachee record for rebounds in a game with 19.

Burke, who teaches public speaking and math at the Upper School, still enjoys playing volleyball, in addition to visiting museums and aquariums, running, poetry, hiking, and traveling.
